Insta360 Wave focuseson speech clarity, simple controls, and adaptable recording in a single device.With local storage, flexible pickup patterns, and optional AI tools fortranscription and meeting follow-up, it supports everyday communication withoutadding complexity.

At the core is an8-microphone array with a pickup range of up to 5 meters. Audio is captured at48 kHz for detailed speech. Processing tools reduce background noise, cancelecho, adjust gain automatically, and reduce room reverberation so voices soundcloser and more natural. Two-way, real-time full-duplex audio supports naturalconversation without clipping each other off.

Insta360 Wave canadapt to any situation
Wave adapts todifferent rooms with five pickup patterns. Omni captures voices all around thedevice for round-table meetings. Cardioid focuses on the front for one-personcalls, podcasts, or streams. Supercardioid narrows the focus further for noisydesks. Figure-8 captures front and rear for two-person interviews. Stereo usesleft/right channels for wider recordings when connected by USB as the audioinput.

Built-in 32 GB storageturns Wave into a simple recorder. Start recording with a tap, mute instantly,and add markers during a meeting. Storage is rated for up to 1,000 hours of MP3audio. An AI pre-recording mode is planned to continuously listen in thebackground and save the last five minutes when you hit record through anover-the-air update.

An AI meetingassistant extends the hardware with cloud features. Transcription runs withcloud processing, with options for speaker voiceprint labeling and a customglossary so product names or acronyms are recognized consistently. After ameeting, you can review notes and action items, ask follow-up questions in achat interface, and share summaries quickly using an on-screen QR code. Somefeatures are part of paid plans, and there are minute packages for higherusage. Privacy measures include locked local storage on the device and optionalcloud storage with standard security certifications.

The base touchinterface handles mic on/off, volume, record/stop, mute-while-recording, andcloud upload. Connectivity includes USB-C, Bluetooth, and a low-profilewireless dongle. A desktop controller app lets you manage Wi-Fi, audiosettings, highlights, screenshots, and meeting reminders, with support forcommon conferencing platforms.

Wave also integrateswith Insta360 Link 2 for a paired audio-video solution. Direction-of-arrivaldetection helps the camera switch focus between speakers during groupdiscussions. A future update will allow multiple Wave units to connectwirelessly to cover larger rooms.
